Chennai, India – Trivecta Digital, a Chennai-based Odoo Partner specializing in ERP consulting and implementation, today announced significant progress on a comprehensive Odoo 18 ERP implementation for an industrial automation company manufacturing IoT-enabled equipment and control systems. The engagement spans CRM, Sales, Purchase, Accounting, Inventory, and Manufacturing across a multi-company setup — with the majority of the project already delivered and production-ready, including a fully operational Purchase module and a near-complete Inventory module with serial tracking live.
The industrial automation company, which manufactures IoT-enabled equipment and control systems across multiple entities, had been operating with fragmented systems — CRM, sales, and production tracked in different tools with no integrated lead-to-order pipeline. Sales opportunities were lost in handoffs between teams, and complex Bill of Materials structures with multi-level sub-assemblies remained undigitized. Manual inventory management led to stockouts and overproduction, while GST compliance across inter-company transactions added tax complexity. The company also lacked WhatsApp-based customer communication for sending quotes and order updates — a channel their customers increasingly expected.
As the company’s product portfolio and customer base grew, the disconnect between lead capture, sales, production planning, and delivery became a critical bottleneck — prompting them to engage Trivecta Digital for a structured Odoo 18 ERP implementation.
Trivecta’s implementation was designed to address that directly: consolidating fragmented tools into a single Odoo 18 platform with a seamless CRM-to-manufacturing pipeline, digitized multi-level BoM structures, real-time inventory with serial tracking, and WhatsApp Business integration for customer communication — all delivered through a structured, phased rollout with clear ownership and dependency management.
Scope of Implementation
Trivecta is delivering a comprehensive Odoo 18 implementation covering six core modules, rolled out in structured phases with clear ownership and dependency management. The first phase focused on CRM and Sales, building a visual Kanban pipeline with lead scoring, opportunity management, and stage customization — with quotation generation directly from opportunities. The end-to-end sales flow from Quotation → Sales Order → Delivery → Invoice is fully automated with multi-company inter-company rules. Product variant management for colour, size, and configuration variants is tracked throughout the sales and inventory workflow.
The second phase introduced Purchase and Inventory. Purchase is fully complete and operational. Inventory is configured as a comprehensive multi-warehouse setup with lot and serial tracking, putaway strategies, inventory adjustments, and cycle counting — now nearly complete with serial tracking live.
The third phase covers Accounting and Manufacturing. Accounting includes full GST compliance with e-invoicing, bank reconciliation, warranty tracking linked to serial numbers, and configurable fiscal years. Manufacturing is being delivered with multi-level Bill of Materials, work center routing, operation tracking, and quality checkpoints — currently in the final stages as complex BoM structures are finalized with the operations team.
Overall, the majority of the implementation is delivered and production-ready, with the remaining items in active progress.
Key Features Delivered & Results
A seamless CRM-to-manufacturing pipeline from lead capture through quotation, sales order, production order, delivery, and invoicing — replaces fragmented tools and gives the company a unified lead-to-delivery workflow for the first time. Multi-level Bill of Materials with work center routing and quality checkpoints digitized complex sub-assembly structures, connecting production planning directly to sales demand and inventory levels.
The comprehensive inventory setup with multi-warehouse serial and lot tracking, put away strategies, and cycle counting delivers real-time stock visibility across all locations. Advanced accounting with GST compliance, e-invoicing, bank reconciliation, and a warranty tracking module linked to serial numbers streamlined financial operations across the multi-company structure.
WhatsApp Business integration with Meta-approved templates enables quotation dispatch and order updates directly through WhatsApp. Custom pricelists with volume-based discounts, Razorpay payment gateway readiness, and custom inventory reports round out the operational toolkit. With the Purchase module fully complete, Inventory nearly finished, and all six core modules live on Odoo 18, the foundation is laid for long-term scalability.
